TransLink is the transportation authority for the Metro Vancouver area. They manage buses, trains and water ferries, regional roads and bridges, cycling and pedestrian movement. This project spanned 2 years and included auditing their existing materials, writing the brand strategy and developing a cohesive graphic language. The most challenging visual guidelines I have ever worked on, as much because of the politics as well as the scope. Not all standards have been adopted in their entirety, but it is significant to see the ones that were rolled out across the system. Posted here are key elements selected from the guidelines.
